Tamie buys TVIX 11.75: This drove a small recovery in TVIX on Friday, moving the stock up 25%. There certainly may be more gains to come due to the upcoming economic calendar and instability in Global markets.

Janet Yellen announced that the rate will remain unchanged and focused on the volatility in the Emerging Markets. With the Fed rate decision looming, the ETN experienced a massive upward move before falling just before the decision. The decline seems to have been triggered by the decline in natural gas prices, driven by the weekly inventory data, which showed that supplies increased more than expected last week. However, guidance for the fourth quarter fell short of expectations. Also, as I have no knowledge of your circumstances, goals, and/or portfolio concentration or diversification, readers are expected to complete their own due diligence before purchasing any stocks mentioned or recommended.

Kristy:
With the S&P down -5.25% for the month, I was pleasantly surprised to see that my portfolio was only off -1.97% on paper for the month.
