Jona sells WWAV 42.39: Stifel Nicolaus increased their price target on shares of WhiteWave Foods from $50.00 to $55.00 and gave the company a buy rating in a research note on Thursday, July 16th.

As the leading supplier of these alternatives, both here in the U.S. and in Europe, it seems obvious that WhiteWave Foods still has plenty of room to grow. Plant-based food and drinks have increased their penetration into U.S. households, reaching 31% in 2015, up from 18% five years ago, suggesting consumers will be much more receptive to these brand extensions. Based on the 7.5% share of the market plant-based alternatives it currently owns in the milk category, WhiteWave plans on using its heft to expand into more segments with the idea it can provide as much as $2.7 billion in new revenue streams. He has held a number of senior roles on regional newspapers across England, Scotland and Wales over the last 15 years and is now editor-in-chief of Trinity Mirror North East.
