Kirsten sells FII 28.54: The firm earned $228.10 million during the quarter, compared to analyst estimates of $226.35 million.

The company reported $0.40 earnings per share for the quarter, beating the consensus estimate of $0.38 by $0.02. During the same period in the previous year, the firm posted $0.35 EPS. Piper Jaffray assumed coverage on Federated Investors in a report on Tuesday, June 2nd. Federated Funds are distributed by Federated Securities Corp. (Member FINRA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Federated Investors, Inc. The reorganizations are expected to be tax free and are anticipated to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2015.
